Cannabis Tea is one of the many novel ways you can now take cannabis. Cannabis Tea is beneficial for numerous reasons. Not only will you get the medical benefits of marijuana such as relief for pain, anxiety, depression, migraines, and more, but you’ll also get the fantastic natural benefits of tea.

Tea is often packed with nutrients and antioxidants which help you lose weight, ward off illness, and improve your overall health. When cannabis and tea are combined, you get a supercharged health drink with all kinds of perks for your mental and physical well being. So how exactly do you go about making it? Here are five ways to make cannabis tea.

1. Make Cannabis Tea with Cannabis Flower

You can make cannabis tea quickly and easily using cannabis flower. You can use whichever strain you want- simply grind it up as finely as possible in preparation to infuse into a nice hot cup of tea.

Preheat a pot with 4 cups of water. Once your pot begins to boil, add in a tablespoon of coconut oil. Coconut oil is ideal as it allows for easy infusion with the THC in cannabis, making for a potent cup of cannabis tea. You can also use other kinds of oil or butter as an alternative.

Once your oil has dissolved, add about a gram of weed into the pot and turn the heat down to a moderate temperature. You want to allow the mixture to simmer without burning the weed. Allow it to simmer for around 15 minutes before straining the mixture into a cup through a cheesecloth or strainer.

Your cannabis tea is now ready! For an extra kick, you can also add sugar or flavorings such as honey, lemon, and ginger.

2. Make Cannabis Tea with Cannabis Tincture

Another way to make cannabis tea is with cannabis tincture. It’s arguably the quickest and easiest method, especially as you can buy cannabis tincture online ready to mix into all kinds of beverages. It’ll only take a few steps and you’ll still end up with a great cup of tea with the potent effects of cannabis.

All you need to do for this method is to brew a cup of tea as you would normally. Add your tea bag or tea leaves into a hot cup of tea and allow it to infuse. Now, you can also infuse your cannabis tincture. Usually, a dose of around 10mg of THC Tincture is enough for a potent high with some powerful medical benefits. You can use more or less depending on the effects you want.

Mix the ingredients and your cup of cannabis tea is ready. You may also want to add sugar or other ingredients to add some flavor.

3. Make Cannabis Tea with Cannabis Butter

When it comes to making cannabis edibles, the best method is to create your own cannabis butter. Cannabis butter or cannabutter is cannabis-infused butter which is easy to use in all kinds of meals, recipes, and even beverages such as cannabis tea. However, you will have to go through a few steps to make it.

You can use any cannabis strain to make cannabis butter, but you must first decarboxylate your cannabis to activate the THC. Spread your weed across a baking tray on top of parchment paper and heat it in the oven at around 245ºF for 30-40 minutes.

Now, add a cup of water and a cup of butter to a hot saucepan. Allow them to melt, then put the saucepan on a lower heat of around 160ºF – 180ºF and add around 7-10 grams of decarboxylated weed. After 2-3 hours, strain the mixture into a container through a cheesecloth and freeze it until it’s hard.

Once your cannabis butter is rigid, you can mix some into a hot cup of tea and stir it for a delicious cup of cannabis tea. You only need a small amount of cannabis butter to experience strong effects, so don’t go overboard.

I make a subtle tea or coffee by mixing busted up stem with coffee grinds in the perk or loose tea in my French press. It tastes great, the stem has a subtle earthy taste that blends well with coffee or herbal teas 🙂
