The Ontario Cannabis Store offers all forms of recreational cannabis products, from fresh weed to edibles and liquids, delivered right to your door. If you prefer to head out to a weed store to peruse the goods in person, you can visit any of Ontario’s authorized private weed and cannabis products retailers. To find the nearest authorized private retail location near you, just head to the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Cannabis webpage for a list of all current authorized private retailers in Ontario.

Where Can You Enjoy Your Weed Or Cannabis Products In Ontario?

Knowing how and where to buy weed online in Ontario is just one part of the equation. After all, what fun is buying weed if you can’t use it? So, with that in mind, let’s look at where you can and can’t enjoy your weed or cannabis products in Ontario.

Within the boundaries of Ontario, it is legal to smoke or vape weed or cannabis products in private residences (though NOT in residences that are designated as places of business, such as private nursing or daycare operations), most public spaces, select residential vehicles and watercraft (vehicle must be parked, anchored, or moored), research facilities, and in select controlled areas of other residence or community residence types.

Ontario law prohibits smoking or vaping weed in enclosed public spaces such as community recreation rooms, university or community common areas, and enclosed workspaces. Weed and cannabis-related products cannot be used within 20 metres of any location where children gather. This includes playgrounds, schools, child care centres, and any private residence where child care services are provided (even when children are not physically present in the home).

Additionally, unless specified, you may not smoke or vape weed or cannabis products within 9 metres of a hospital, hospice, or another medical facility. You may not use weed inside of a vehicle currently in operation or be driven in the immediate future.

Driving or operating any moving vehicle, be it a car, boat, or off-road recreational vehicle, while under the influence of drugs or alcohol carries stiff fines and the very real threat of imprisonment, so enjoy your weed from a safe and legal location and don’t get behind the wheel.
